awkward tuesdays

So me and polly have awkward tuesdays together now. We had the most amazing awkward discussion today with Ben Casey. the subject was whether or not guys wash their hands when exiting the restroom. According to Casey, only 50% of all males wash their hands after a urinal experience. I found this to be a horrifically sad and disturbing statistic. However, he also informed us that he washes at least 97% of the time when exiting. Way to go ben! we also discussed how to avoid incessant splashing of urine when a guy pees in a toilet. the consensus was to redesign the toilet to forgo the bowl-shaped base and add a new, more urine friendly design to prevent splashing. in order to do this, a greater slope is needed for the back of the toilet in order to slow down the urine and cause a "cascading" effect. Ben also suggested that ripples of some sort be added to the higher slant in order to provide more resistance to the urine. Also, the depth of the toilet would be deeper, allowing for the urine to travel further while slowing down the ripples before hitting the pool of water at the bottom. A diagram would help illustrate all of this; perhaps one will be provided later. We named this design the "urlet" as a combination of urinal and toilet. the product will be out for testing sometime in summer of 2005.
