Is it a revolutionary idea to say that Christ came to give us eternal life now and to restore our original glory?

Satan does all he can to keep us from living in our restored glory.

read Genesis 1:28. Before the fall of man, God granted us the job of representing him on earth--- we were made in His image as bearers of His glory (and for all of you nerds like me who like this kinda stuff, "represent" means to To describe or put forward (a person or thing) as an embodiment of a specified quality). So by this "representing" we are bearing the image of God and his quality of glory. And what does He tell man and woman to do? Rule. That is glorious indeed.

read Revelation 20. What will we do with Christ after he returns? Reign. So yes, Christ came to forgive. Yes, He came to seek those who were lost. Yes, He died on the cross. But He also rose-- in order to bring life, *eternal life, starting now, and one that brings fullness and glory (what did the apostles preach throughout the book of Acts? Christ's resurrection, not his death). Anything short of representing God in His glory as redeemed saints is, well, lacking of being His saint (in my opinion at least).

Satan has robbed this of believers for far too long.

I say stand up and fight for the glory that has been given back to you.

This is neat to me, as well as incredibly important and vital for believers to not only know, but to fully grasp. In celebration of the greatest birth ever on Saturday, remember why He really did come. And start living in a way that reflects this.

*the word eternal doesn't mean "afterlife," although we have come to define it this way. In true essence, eternal means perpetuation, or rather forever true or changeless, continuing without interruption. So eternal life simply means a redeemed life that is beyond the sources of time.
