Ephesians 6

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places..."

Most of the time, I wish I could remember that my struggle is not against flesh and blood.

Lately, by the Lord's hand, I have seen how it is indeed against the powers and forces of darkness.

why isn't this talked about more regularly?

In community group a couple of weeks ago, a lovely person mentioned she feels odd verbally rebuking the enemy when feeling attacked. We all discussed how weird and eerie it all is, the spiritual warfare thing, and how a lot of times we are enacting the armor of God, yet we feel strange and eccentric doing it. I believe that this is also an attempt of the enemy to disable us from fighting against him when it is most pertinent.

Feeling the presence of darkness recently, it reminded me of a Lovedrug song that paints an almost grotesque yet accurate picture of this spiritual battle:

just a reminder for everyone to take up arms in this day.

"...Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm." Ephesians 6:12-13
